Overview
We are staunch proponents of data privacy and data rights. Our privacy policy reflects how we want all of our data to be treated. In short, we only want to collect as much data as you are willing to give us, and only want to use as much as you’ve explicitly given us permission to.
Information Collection and Use
When you opt-in on any of our websites, we will have generally enabled a “double opt-in.” This means that if you are on our email list, you not only entered your email on one of our forms, but you then took the additional step to go into your email and click a link to confirm that you do, in fact, want to hear from us. We will use this email address for the sole and exclusive purpose of sending you email communications. We are proud users of Mailchimp. This is where the information will be stored. Your email address will never be sold or uploaded to any site (such as Facebook or Twitter for the creation of custom audiences) without your explicit permission.
Log Data
We saw this on a privacy policy template and we have to be honest that we only have a vague idea of what a log file is. We think that it refers to our server collecting information that your browser sends called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser version, pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.
We do, however, use Google Analytics on our site to track how many people are visiting our site and what they are doing on our site. If you think that is a bad thing, we strongly encourage the use of some browser plugins such as Ghostery.
Cookies
This is another one we’re not entirely sure of, but we’re pretty sure our website does it.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that is commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your computer’s hard drive. Our website may use “cookies” to collect information. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies in your browser settings and know when a cookie is being sent to your computer. If you choose to refuse our cookies, we’re not sure what will happen, but it’s possible that you may not be able to use some parts of this site.
Service Providers
We have a virtual assistant, and sometimes we work with people from Upwork and Fiverr.
Our virtual assistant may have access to your Personal Information through our email list. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. While we have strict rules with any and all contractors about adhering to this data protection and privacy policy, which obligates them not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose…it’s not an airtight system. But we’re watching it like a hawk.
Security
We seriously appreciate your trust in providing us with any Personal Information. We take that shit real seriously. We’ll do everything within our power (financially or capability) to protect it. However, we just want you to remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. But again, we’ll do our best. We take this seriously.
