If you’ve ever felt like productivity advice wasn’t written for the way your brain actually works –– you’re in the right place.
Welcome to Productive Ideas, the blog from Super Productive. We started this blog because we kept having the same conversation with teams, consultants, and individuals who were doing everything “right” and still hitting walls. The tools were there. The processes existed. But something wasn’t connecting –– and too often, the person at the desk was being told the problem was them.
We don’t believe that.
We believe most productivity failures are systems failures. And we believe the best systems are built for real people –– people with different brains, different working styles, and different definitions of what “getting it done” actually looks like.
That’s the thread running through everything you’ll find here.
On the practical side, we go deep on Asana –– implementation, workspace architecture, automation, training, and the consulting process itself. If you’re setting up Asana for the first time, or inheriting a workspace that stopped making sense somewhere along the way, we’ve got you. We’ll walk through what a successful implementation actually looks like after launch, how to audit before you touch anything, and the change management work that determines whether a rollout sticks or quietly falls apart.
But this isn’t just an Asana blog.
We write about the human side of work: how teams communicate (or don’t), why the person breaking your system usually isn’t the problem, how to design workflows that people actually use, and what it looks like to build something together rather than hand it down from above. We cover neuroinclusive design –– because designing for the full range of human cognition makes everything better for everyone. ADHD productivity strategies, sensory considerations, externalization, momentum, attainability –– these rarely belong in the niche category. They’re what good system design looks like when you stop building for the mythical average employee.
We also write for consultants and internal team leads doing the hard work of helping organizations change. Listening skills. Discovery questions. Knowing when to fix a system versus when to rebuild it. The assumptions that kill implementations before they start.
If that sounds like your world, this blog was written for you.
Our readers tend to be project managers, operations leads, Asana administrators, consultants, and team leaders inside organizations that are serious about how they work. Many are neurodivergent or work closely with neurodivergent colleagues. Some are just people who’ve been burned by systems that looked great on paper and collapsed under real conditions.
You belong here regardless.
Each post is written to be clear, practical, and honest. We won’t dress things up with jargon or stretch a simple idea into a 3,000-word scroll. If we can say it in fewer words without losing the point, we will.
We’re glad you’re here. Bookmark this, share it with a colleague who needs it, and come back whenever you’re ready to think differently about how work gets done.
Sincerely and Productively,
–– The Super Productive Team
